Originally started in 1995 by Tim Mohanna and Rich Hughes (Red Shoes) the band has played countless venues from street festivals and corporate functions to wedding dances, lounges, bars and anniversaries.

Featuring Tim Mohanna on bass and vocals along with incredible drummer Jason Grimes and his father Dave Grimes on guitar the band is committed to providing quality entertainment to those in need of live music.

THE RED SHOES STORY

To make a rather long story short Rich Hughes was performing in the Bobby Lane band at Offutt Air Force base near Omaha many years ago.

On one of their breaks the band was introduced to a lady from Japan. When she saw the band on a return performance she talked again to the band and greeted Rich with “nice to see you again Red Shoes”. Her hilarious interpretation of his name became his nickname and the inspiration for the band title Mohanna with Red Shoes in 1995.

Though Rich Hughes retired from the band on January 1, 2010 the band title will continue on as a tribute to his 15 years performance in Mohanna with Red Shoes. As an original member he was a great asset and instrumental in the development of the band’s agenda and reputation. His incredible trumpet skills will be missed along with his many other musical talents.
